Tahir Basheer

Partner and Head of Branding, Sheridans

Tahir’s commercial legal practice is based in London and includes clients across the
following areas: creative industry entrepreneurs, technology growth companies,
computer games and software, music, e-commerce and digital distribution, sport,
fashion, merchandising, trade marks and intellectual property. He advises a range of
corporate and individual clients both within the UK and abroad and his clients range from
corporate entities, entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals, social media influencers, up
and coming artistes, musicians, designers and creative industry management teams.
He founded the firm's Technology practice and heads up the firm's Social Media and
Branding practice.  He has developed a particular specialism in digital media issues and
is a board advisor to various startup companies.

He is a member of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers and a faculty
lecturer at Berklee College of Music. He has also been a guest lecturer at Kings College
London University, Queen Mary University, the Brit School and the Music Business

He also sits on the global board of the Fund for Global Human Rights and is a trustee of
the MOBO Trust.

Finally Tahir has regularly been a judge on the annual International Monroe Moot
Competition at Oxford University and has also appeared as a judge on various
technology strategy board competitions.

His aim is to offer clients a practical as well as a legal service always with a commercial
and results focussed approach so as to maximise the chances of success across the
media, entertainment and technology industry.
